Major NOC - Angolan TLP Scope of Work

In 2013, William Jacob Management was awarded a contract to provide FEED services on a TLP for an undisclosed major NOC. The platform is part of a surface structure package that also includes a floating production, storage and offloading vessel.

William Jacob Management is part of an Design consortium to design and build a tension-leg wellhead platform that will be delivered to a field off the coast of Angola.

Major NOC TLP

William Jacob Management, Inc. (WJM) was invited to participate with three other EPCI contractors in a tender Design bid to supply a 32-slot tension-leg platform (TLP) for an undisclosed major NOC on a project off the coast of Angola.

WJM is providing tender Design design services for the self contained drilling rig that will be mounted on the field development TLP.

The field development plan is estimated to include 15 production wells and 15 water injectors, with oil production expected to lie in the range of 140,000 to 160,000 barrels per day and with nearly 200,000 bpd of water injection.

The client and partners plan to link the TLP to a floating production, storage and offloading vessel to exploit the large deep-water asset in an Angolan Block. This application is similar to the development solution chosen for the Kizomba A and B projects that William Jacob Management executive personnel developed for ExxonMobil.

The TLP, which will be moored in about 1,300 meters (4,265 ft.) of water, is expected to be delivered by mid-2016.  First oil from this project is anticipated to be in 2017-2018.

“William Jacob Management executive team members were pivotal in the success of Kizomba A and B and our thorough Design and design knowledge will prove to be beneficial for the success of this project as well,” said William Jacob Management President, Michael Duffy.
