William Jacob Management (WJM) has close ties to Stratford High School Athletics

Will and Jake Duffy are the sons of WJM President Mike Duffy. In fact, William Jacob Management, Inc. is named after the Duffy boys. In the Spring of 2011 both Will and Jake played for the Stratford High School baseball team. A very special occurrence as this is only the 4th time in 15 years that both boys have played on the same team. Jake, a senior this past year, was the starting center fielder and batted second in the lineup. Will, who was a junior, was a catcher and first baseman.

WJM has a long history of supporting the athletic program at Stratford High School as a business member of the Booster Club. Jake and Will have played football and baseball for the school but in recent years both have dedicated their time and skills to baseball. Jake is now on his way to Oklahoma State University to major in Mechanical Engineering. He has spent several summers as an intern at WJM working on various international projects.

Will is returning to Stratford in the fall to focus on his senior year and looks forward to playing catcher for the Spartans next spring. During the 2011 summer break Will is completing an intership in the accounting department at Seadrill. After graduating from Stratford in the spring of 2012, Will would like to attend the University of Texas and major in Business.

Innovative Statoil Project in Brazil Engages William Jacob Management (WJM) to Support Commissioning

Houston-based William Jacob Management (WJM) has been awarded a major contract to provide offshore drill rig commissioning support for the Statoil Peregrino project. Located in Block BM-C-8 of Brazil’s Campos Basin, Peregrino incorporates two platforms (A & B) and is the Norwegian company’s largest international field to date.

Since January 2010, a WJM team of 15 people has worked on a 28/28 rotation, traveling first to Rio de Janiero, then to the coastal town of Macae for transport to the platforms. Once offshore, they have provided assistance in all phases of commissioning of the wellhead and drill rig on each platform. Prior to commissioning, WJM has been involved throughout the Peregrino project lifecycle, with responsibilities including the FEED, detailed engineering procurement and construction management associated with the refurbishment of the two, 3000-horsepower API modular platform rigs.

William Jacob Management (WJM) is a client-focused, global provider of project management and technical services for high stakes energy projects. For more information, visit the company online at www.WilliamJacob.com.

WJM Continues Perfect Safety Record

WJM recently completed 311,000 incident free man-hours from January 2007 through January 2010 while working on the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management and Assistance (EPCMA) portion of the Peregrino Project for Statoil. This contract was associated with the refurbishment of two 3,000 horsepower API modular platform drilling rigs for use in Campos Basin, Offshore Brazil. This is an astonishing feat considering almost forty percent of the man-hours associated with the project were worked in fabrication yards and manufacturing shops. WJM prides itself on its focus on safety in the workplace and this is another testament to the vigorous approach taken by the company to ensure safe operations in all aspects of their business. Since being founded in August, 2004 WJM has maintained a perfect safety record and is now closing in on nearly 1 million man-hours worked while achieving a 0.0 incident rate.
