Conceptual & Front-end Engineering Design (FEED) Studies

William Jacob Management believes the comprehensive concept and front-end engineering design (FEED) studies are foundational for the success of capital projects and should be conducted by applying standardized procedures and best practices. This critical stage in the project establishes the groundwork for budgeting, detailed design and construction.

Conceptual and Front-end engineering design is crucial in producing process and engineering documentation of ample quality and depth to effectively define the project requirements for detailed engineering, procurement and construction of facilities and gives a +/-10% of the project cost estimate for budgeting requirements.

William Jacob Management has provided conceptual and FEED services for major clients around the world on some of the "industry's first", including the Devon's Polvo Project, Hess TLP justification of wet-tree/dry-tee and most currently BP's Project 20K.

Advantages in developing conceptual and FEED studies are:

»

Focus on quality, health and safety by conducting hazardous operations reviews

»

Support internal funding requirements

»

Develop the engineering design packages that can be used to bid a lump sum EPC scope and / or provide the foundation for the detailed engineering phase

»

Prepare cost estimates for scope definition and for project funding

»

Evaluate options that will improve the return on assets (ROA)

As a proven expert in onshore, offshore and marine projects worldwide, William Jacob Management designs and engineers projects to meet demanding cost, schedule and operational requirements by first establishing the groundwork with conceptual and FEED studies to achieve our clients' strategic business objectives.
